Your two logins
UnifiedIQ portal: portal.unifiedmktg.com/portal (mike@thesportsu.com). The easiest place for classes, the league and leads, and it works on your phone.
WordPress: thesportsu.com/wp-admin. The same tools are under UnifiedIQ in the left menu, plus orders and forms.
1. Update a class, camp or party
Change the price, dates or description
- Log in to the portal and tap Products in the top menu (or WordPress → UnifiedIQ → Products).
- Search for the class or scroll the list. The list opens on Live on the site; tap Hidden or All to see the rest.
- Tap the class name. The editor opens on the right.
- Change the Price (and Sale price if it is on sale).
- Update the dates, times and details in Dates & details (the short text under the price) and the Full description. Plain sentences only, no formatting needed.
- Tap Save changes. You will see “Saved — live on thesportsu.com”. Done.
Classes with a time or age dropdown (options)
- Open the class as above and scroll to the Options table.
- Change any option’s price, sale price or spots left. Tap an option’s switch off to hide just that time slot.
- To give every option the same price, use Set all prices.
- Tap Save changes.
Turn a class on or off
- In Products, flip the switch on the class row. Off = hidden from the website (nothing is deleted).
- To hide many at once (portal only): tick the boxes on the left, then Turn off.
Set up next season’s class (fastest way)
- Open last season’s class and tap Duplicate for next season.
- Type the new name (for example “Spring Sports of All Sorts 2027”) and confirm. The copy opens, hidden.
- Update the price, dates, options and description. Tap Upload from computer to change the photo if you like.
- Tap Save changes, then flip the switch to Live on the site.
- Turn off last season’s class so parents don’t register for the old one.
Add a brand-new class
- In Products tap New class.
- Enter the name, price, category, dates & details and a photo.
- Tap Save changes (it starts hidden), check it, then switch it Live.
Live classes show up automatically on Find a Class and on the matching program page. You never edit those pages.
2. SUSHL street hockey league
Open registration for a new season
- Products → open 2026/7 SUSHL Street Hockey League Signup (the payment product).
- Change the name to the new season, update the price and the description (dates, rink, ages). Tap Save changes.
- Update the registration form text: WordPress → UnifiedIQ → Forms → SUSHL Registration → Edit. Change the form name/season wording if needed and Save (see section 4 for how the form editor works).
- Families register at the SUSHL registration page: they fill out the form, sign with their finger, then go straight to the payment page. The payment page only opens after the form is submitted; anyone who goes to it directly is sent back to the form.
See and download registrations
- WordPress → UnifiedIQ → Forms.
- Next to SUSHL Registration 2026/27, click Entries. Every registration is listed, including this season’s older ones from before the new website.
- Click a row to see everything the parent entered and their signature.
- Click Export CSV to download the list for Excel or Google Sheets (team building, coach lists, t-shirts).
Start the new season schedule
- Portal → Leagues (or WordPress → UnifiedIQ → Leagues).
- Tap Settings → Start a new season, name it (for example “2026-27 Season”). Teams are copied over and this season becomes the one shown on the website.
- Tap Teams: add, rename or remove teams, pick each team’s color, add the coach. Add divisions here too.
- In Settings, add your rinks (for example “Kushner Academy”) and check the points rules.
Add games to the schedule
- Tap Schedule → Add a game: pick the date, time, rink, home and away teams. Save.
- For a full game day, tap Add a week: it copies the last game day’s time slots to the next date, so you only pick the matchups.
Enter scores (works great at the rink on your phone)
- Open Schedule. Today’s games are at the top.
- Tap + or − for each team (or tap the box and type the score).
- Tap Final. For several games, enter them all and tap Save as Final at the bottom.
- Standings update immediately on the website.
Postpone, cancel or move a game
- On the game, tap Postpone / cancel, pick one and add a short note for families (for example “Rain — new date next week”).
- To move it, tap Edit and change the date or time.
Public page: SUSHL Schedule & Standings.
3. Waivers
- Send parents this link: thesportsu.com/waiver (it is also in the top bar of the website). One waiver covers every program and never expires (parents sign once), up to 4 kids, signed with a finger.
- You get an email for each signed waiver; the parent gets a copy.
- To look one up: WordPress → UnifiedIQ → Forms → Sports Universe Waiver → Entries. Search by parent or child name. Export CSV downloads the full list.
4. Website forms (contact, parties, private lessons, SUSHL, waiver)
Where requests go
Every request emails you right away (Adam gets a copy) and the parent gets an automatic thank-you. Reply straight from the email. Requests also appear in Portal → Leads and in WordPress → UnifiedIQ → Forms → Entries.
See or download form entries
- WordPress → UnifiedIQ → Forms.
- Click Entries next to the form.
- Click a row for details, star important ones, or Export CSV.
Change a form (questions, wording, who gets the email)
- WordPress → UnifiedIQ → Forms → click the form name (or Edit).
- To change a question: click it, edit the label, choices or “required”, or drag it to reorder. Add a new question from the field list.
- To change who gets the email: open the Emails (notifications) tab and edit the To address. Separate several addresses with commas.
- To change the thank-you email the parent gets: edit the Auto-reply text.
- Click Save. The change is live on the website immediately.
Tip: don’t delete questions on the SUSHL or waiver forms without checking with Adam. They match the legal release and the payment step.
4b. Edit the SUSHL registration form, step by step
The same steps work for every form: the waiver, contact, party booking and private lessons.
Open the form
- Log in to WordPress: thesportsu.com/wp-admin.
- In the left menu, click UnifiedIQ, then Forms.
- Find SUSHL Registration 2026/27 in the list and click its name. The form builder opens: tabs on the left (Fields, After submit & style, Emails, Entries, History), a live preview in the middle, and a settings panel on the right.
Change a question (wording, choices, required)
- Make sure the Fields tab is selected.
- In the preview, click the question you want to change. Its settings open on the right.
- Edit the text in Question / label.
- To change the answers on a dropdown or button question (for example the grade list or league choices), edit Choices (one per line): one answer per line.
- Add a hint under the question in Help text (optional).
- Tick or untick Required — the form can’t be sent without it.
- Click Save form (top right). The change is live on the website right away.
Add a new question
- On the Fields tab, find the field type you need (for example Text, Dropdown, Buttons, Date) in the field list. Use Search field types if you don’t see it.
- Drag it onto the form where you want it, or click it to add it at the end.
- Click the new question and fill in Question / label (and Choices if it has answers).
- Click Save form.
Move or remove a question
- To move: drag the question up or down in the preview, or click it and use Move up / Move down.
- To remove: click the question, then Delete field.
- Click Save form.
Please don’t remove the Authorization checkboxes, the electronic signature agreement or the signature box. They are the legal release. Ask Adam first if you want those changed.
New season: change the form name and payment page
- Click the After submit & style tab.
- Change Form name to the new season (for example “SUSHL Registration 2027/28”).
- Under Then…, keep Go to another page selected. In Page to go to, paste the link to the new season’s SUSHL payment product (open the product on the website and copy the address from your browser).
- Change Button text if you like (now “Continue to payment”).
- Click Save form.
Change who gets the emails
- Click the Emails tab.
- Under Notifications, the first card is Email Sports U. Edit Send to: one or more addresses separated by commas (for example mike@thesportsu.com, rick@thesportsu.com).
- Change the Subject or Message if you want. Keep {all_fields} in the message: it inserts every answer.
- To email someone else too, click Add an email. To stop one, click Remove on that card.
- Click Save form.
Change the email parents get
- On the Emails tab, scroll to Auto-reply (“Send the visitor a confirmation”).
- Edit the Subject and Message. Update the payment link and season in the message each season.
- Click Save form.
Check it, and undo a mistake
- Use Preview with Desktop / Phone at the top to see how parents will see it.
- Made a mistake before saving? Click Undo. Already saved? Open the History tab and click Restore on an earlier version.
- Open the SUSHL registration page on the website to see the live form.
5. Orders and payments
- Every order emails you, Rick and Adam. The buyer gets a branded receipt.
- See orders: WordPress → WooCommerce → Orders. Click an order for the class, child name and payment.
- Refund: open the order → Refund → enter the amount → refund via Authorize.net.
- Very small charges (a few cents) are held by Authorize.net. Approve or void them in Authorize.net under Tools → Fraud Suspects. Always test with a real price.
- Party Final Payment collects party balances; PRICE YOUR OWN collects custom amounts. Both stay off the class lists.
6. Website pages
- To change page text: WordPress → Pages → click the page → edit the text → Update.
- The homepage, menu, footer and photos are part of the design. Email Adam what you want changed.
7. Reports
Visits, calls, form leads and purchases are tracked automatically. Unified sends a monthly report. Nothing for you to do.
